Concealed Weapon Slot
The concealed weapon slot is a unique slot that allows you to bring guns into a mission. Some players utilize this slot to help reach certain achievements, especially those going for Suit Only. Some prefer having the extra pistol as an additional gap. It's important to note that to select the pistols that belong in this slot, click on the button for the appropriate category, for example, alternate slot 2 machine guns. Mission planning is an option available in missions that are episodic. It allows players to unlock various starting locations as well as smuggled items and gear slots before they enter the map. The options for planning increase as players progress through challenges and unlock higher Mission Mastery levels. This allows players to design the perfect mission for every challenge.
Gear Slot
Early on in the game players will find their gear slots quickly fill up, leading to the frequently-repeated "Your Gear Slots are full" message, which blocks Max from picking new equipment until old items are removed or space is found. Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials are the solution to this issue. They give players more inventory space to complete challenging missions. Because many of these challenges could be missed and are scattered around the world, it may take a while to get the most inventory slots available in the game.
Each player has up to five different types of gear in their five Gear Slots. These must be selected from the Gear Selection menu prior to the break-in. Each gear item (except for the Pistol), takes up one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as Grenades in a grouping) can only use one Gear Slot.

As you advance through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock different agency pickups on the map. These locations let you keep items that aren't suitable in your concealed weapon or gear slot and get them back later.
These pickups are especially useful if you need to go through a frisk later in the game or if you're carrying a weapon that could otherwise trigger suspicion. You can only conceal one item at a pickup location.
This DLC also adds new asset protection and security contracts to the agency. Contact the receptionist at the agency and stock up on snacks and armor. Once you have reached the marker, identify a mob upon arrival.
